Responsibilities of thr role: The main duties and responsibilities of the role will include the following: Research and develop new indigenous supply chains and extend product range and supplier base as volume demand for biomass increases. Establish end to end supply chain for biomass products, bio-crops and other imported fuels and ensure profitability and return on investment for any biomass ventures. Negotiate with suppliers in Ireland and abroad in relation to price, supply, and delivery contracts of biomass materials establishing strong relationships that ensure a sustainable, reliable, and competitive supply stream. Prepare supply contracts for all products (woodchip ex sawmills, willow, chipping contractors etc. Prepare weekly chipping reports, deliveries of materials from suppliers vs budget etc. Liaise with external laboratories re testing and compliance of current and new products. Liaise with all Business Units to help them to establish their biomass needs and coordinate with the internal. supply chain, procurement and logistics team to provide a best in class supply and service. All employees are expected to co-operate fully with all provisions taken by the company for ensuring Health and Safety, and Welfare of co-employees and members of the public using the premises. Proactively participate in the Performance Management process to ensure delivery of own, and the wider teams’ objectives. Education and Experience required: Degree in Engineering/Technical qualification with supplemental qualifications in business [e.g. Diploma in Business with understanding of costs]. 4 years commercial experience in the biomass/bioenergy/sawmill sector; Knowledge of the Forestry sector would be an advantage.
