Global Field Service Engineer. This global company lead the way in producing and maintaining state of the art equipment for the Semiconductor industry. Due to continued growth they hiring additional Field Service Engineers to support major customers across Europe.. They are willing to train up a good engineering graduate to take on this role. Duties: Work as a Field Service Engineer you will be part of a global team covering all aspects of field service on a variety of tasks which will include: - Installation of new systems, maintaining this equipment; perform upgrades and modifications to existing equipment. Your responsibilities will include interfacing with the customer, driving system optimisation and continuous improvement projects to ensure maximum customer satisfaction. This position will be based primarily within Ireland but there may be some requirements to visit other key customers in the region or across Europe and worldwide. Candidates should have one or more of the following: Cert/Diploma/Degree in a relevant Engineering discipline, background and experience in electronics, engineering or Semiconductor manufacturing would be ideal. Experience in mainstream Electronics Manufacturing, time served or City and Guilds qualification in electrical/electronics field, engineering experience gained in a relevant industry. Newly graduated engineers or experienced. Other experience: A successful candidate will need to demonstrate an enthusiasm for the engineering Industry and a practical approach to problem solving. The ability to communicate effectively with external and external customers is essential. Willingness to operate as part of a team. Fluency in English is essential & a second European language would be great. A current, valid, driving license is essential. Willingness to perform business travel for 70% of the time is essential. Willingness to work on a shift basis and go for training overseas in the USA etc during the first 6-9 months is important. It is important that you are legally able to work in Ireland and travel freely within the EU as there will be a lot of "last minute" travel expected.
