Senior Automation Engineer. Job Responsibilities: In this role you will initially be working on large utilities projects, but will ultimately transition to the projects team supporting clients throughout the country. Interested candidate should have strong debugging skills with electrical and computer knowledge, with the ability to deal with customer queries. The role will report to company EICA Projects Manager. • Assist in control and automation designs for projects related to the water and waste water industry; • Preparation of project documentation including FDS and OMM's. • Assist sales in the generation of costings for projects. • Responsible for Systems, Software and Electrical Drawings. • Manage all aspects of the control systems within projects & ensure all aspects are completed on time and within budget. • Design and programming of PLC/HMI control systems. • Design and implementation of SCADA systems. • Design and implementation of Telemetry systems. • Testing of control panels and automation systems including FAT and SAT. • Work on own initiative on smaller projects and work as part of a team on larger projects. • Liaise with the clients and Project Managers. • Liaise with system vendors to source automated solutions. • Technical support to existing customers. Qualifications / Skills Sought: • PLC Programming experience (Allen Bradley, Siemens, ABB. • Minimum 5 years' experience. • SCADA experience ICONICS, Intouch, Wonderware, WinCC. • Qualified with Electrical/Automation/ Control Level 8 Degree. • Strong interest in automation engineering. • Initiative and ability to complete on assigned tasks. • Strong understanding of industrial control systems, willing to learn and capable of learning in live project environments. • Instrumentation & Measurement experience a distinct advantage. • Experience of working with electrical equipment. • Previous relevant experience in Water/Power Systems an advantage. • Excellent communication skills, written and oral. • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel. • Strong problem solving skills. • Knowledge of object orientated programming. • Proficient in communicating and collaborating at a variety of levels, coupled with excellent organization and planning skills. • In addition to problem solving, project management ability is essential. • Strong customer relationship management skills. This role is based out of our client's offices in Kildare, but is a nationwide position, so the successful candidate does not necessarily have to be living in the Kildare region.
