Responsibilities of the role: Lead and develop the design of a new material processing technology to support the development of a new product. Evaluate process and design alternatives based on Design for Manufacturability principles, articulating same through clear communication capability. Understand principles of lean manufacturing, problem solving, DOE and experience of application of same to support the process. Work with external vendors to specify, develop and commission the new process. technology and associated plant within budget and timeline parameters. Understand & design for the interfacing of the new process with existing. manufacturing equipment/production lines including any upgrade works required. Develop a manufacturing process from prototyping to full scale production and built. engagement for completion of same within agreed parameters. Design/Source Equipment and Plant required to meet both the capability & capacity. requirements. Generate work plans & schedules for development activity and execute to plan. including WBS in line with Project Management disciplines and be able to report on. same. Proven ability to lead and influence during major change projects including the ability. and experience of working with teams during transition. Lead a multidisciplinary design team including mechanical, electrical, civil and. structural and operational personnel, to undertake design of the additional process. capacity for planning and implementation phases. This will include the management. of design partners both internal and external to ensure delivery of the proposed new. process design and integration, significant experience of same is critical. Proactively participate in the Performance Management process to ensure delivery of. own, and the wider team's, objectives. Education and Experience required: Fetac Level 8 Engineering Degree minimum. 8 years experience in a Process Engineering role.
