Procurement Specialist - full time permanent - County Kildare/Meath/Westmeath. Main Responsibilities This dynamic semi-state organsisation wishes to recruit a Procurement Officer to join the existing busy team. You will be given full training & support you will have over one year's experience in managing low level spend within the Public sector & be looking to take the next step. Key Responsibilities: Assist with low level spend & national tender procedures across the organisation while ensuring compliance with EU Public Procurement Directives, National Guidelines & best practice purchasing policies & procedures. Achieve "value for money" solutions for the organisation, delivering & facilitating highly functional specifications & detailed requirements, working in cross-functional teams as appropriate. Develop solid working relationships with business representatives throughout the organisation. Deliver high quality contract performance reviews. Work as part of the Procurement team undertaking additional responsibilities that will enhance the overall objectives of the team. Experience Required. At least one year's experience with a knowledge of EU Directives & public procurement policies along with strong numerical & analytical skills. Excellent communication skills - written, verbal & presentation skills - with a professional approach. You will be very strong on MS Office skills with an ability to learn & understand new systems & technology. Qualifications. A degree qualification in Procurement, Supply Chain Management or even Finance/Business. You will be very numerate with a strong attention to detail. An individual who can work in a fast paced environment & manage multiple tasks simultaneously. A team player eager to learn & develop skills.
