The role is to manage enzyme bakery projects and to advise bakery technologists and customers on enzyme solutions for their application. The person will also be involved in enzyme innovation projects in the bakery area. The person should have a scientific background in cereal food chemistry and biochemistry or enzymology or related fields. Also, previous experience managing people is desirable. The person must be prepared to travel to customer and in-house sites/ facilities to support the bakery application team in carrying out trials and presentation of enzyme technology. Manage bakery enzyme projects working directly with the bakery application team and related technologies. Interact with R&D personnel at bakery customer sites to support the relevant Business Development and Account Managers to assist in growing current and development of new enzyme business through presentation and application of our enzyme technologies. Build on the current working relationships with other groups and technologies into the bakery EUM (end use markets. Assist in the development of and in broadening the scope of the enzyme portfolio - – with a specific focus on lipases. Developing and growing visibility and application of enzymes within the broader group. Must be prepared to travel globally. Qualifications. Bachelor’s Degree or MSC in Cereal Chemistry and Biochemistry/ Enzymology/ Biotechnology and/or food applications. Enzyme application experience in bakery field at lab, pilot or plant scale (all three desirable. Project co-ordination experience desirable. Relevant links with bakery/ enzyme industrial groups or academic research teams. 2-4 experience years in a similar role.
